Every hunter who tromps the woods can use a good compass or GPS unit to help them keep track of where they are. Another outstanding idea is a good knife or multi-tool that can really help out when something needs to be cut, chopped, or butchered. Having covered some basic basics, you might want to add in a good first aid kit for those 'just in case' times and perhaps a good cell phone to round things out a bit. Pretty much anybody who spends time in the woods has had occasion to wish they had a good camera with them, so why not give that a thought as well?
